Word Druids:
I think it’s safe to come out of hiding from Valentines Day. Whilst doing so I wanted to quickly share this. The words EARTH and HEART are twin word druids, taking the last letter of earth H and putting it in front of the letters you get Heart. Also both contain the word EAR, also you’ll notice that if you draw two opposite ears and then joined them together you recognise the shape of the heart. Through spiralling these you can then look at word druids belonging to the same “family” and get this list:
AURAL related to what the dictionary calls the “ear-sense of hearing”
AURICLE the external part of an ear and an atrium of the heart.
AURUM the geologist's Latin-based word for “gold”
AURA the human aura, the same word is also a medical term for “a warning sensation that precedes a seizure, such as a heart attack”
AURIC derived from “gold”
Also musing on the qualities of Gold, it is the only metal that cannot be destroyed or turned into something else, it’s soft enough to be malleable, allowing itself to be pounded or pressed into various shapes “without breaking”. Gold is “immortal”; it never dies and cannot be killed”. Also if the L for Love is removed from GOLD we are left with GOD. “Is GOLD, the gentle-powerful vibration or musical chord for Love?” “Is GOLD.....Love.....solidified into a precious metal?"
"Can Love be destroyed? Can Love be pounded and pressed into various shapes, without breaking?...Can Love heal?" The conclusion then is that GOLD and LOVE have a lot in common. Both EARTH and HEART also contain TEAR, and then later on GOLD contains OLD and LOG, apparently the oldest tree known to the Americas is the Bristle Cone Pine an “old log” which grows profusely in the Gold Rush areas of America.
When reading this section again it struck me that Gold is found in the HEART of the EARTH. Oil is black gold. So think of the oil being taken from the Earth and such drilling damaging the earth and linked to some earthquakes. Not to forget, both gold and black gold (oil) are linked to reasons for much wars!
